When No Explanation Is Needed!

One of my favorite stories in the Bible is the one of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. It is featured in the Book of Daniel. These three Jewish boys refused to worship the image of gold created by King Nebuchadnezzar. When the emperor found that the men would not pledge their allegiance to his man made idol, he became furious and confronted them. I adore their response to the ruler, which in Daniel 3:16 says “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, ‘O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.’”   Talk about a Spirit of Boldness! Can you imagine the shocked this so-called king must have felt when these poor Jews refused his commandment? I’m sure he wondered, “How dare they not serve me?” But they didn’t and because of their faith in God, they were delivered in their time of need!

To be honest with you, Dear Heart, I am praying for this type of courage. I know I have a tendency to buckle when the Tide of Discomfort rises around me. However, sometimes doing the right thing for our future purpose will make us feel like we are standing all alone in the middle of the Perfect Storm.   I heard a pastor once say, “People will love you as long as they can control you. Challenge their control and you will see how much they really care for you!”

Just remember, Beloved that we serve a God who will never leave nor forsake us. As we approach the New Year, remain firm on your course for a better life.  Only you know what our Heavenly Father has destined for you to accomplish. Just like when the three Hebrew boys who trusted The Lord endured the fiery furnace, do not waver from your Path of Purpose. Then when people feel they have a right to question your journey, be sure to let them know that you walk by the instructions of the Almighty and that “No Explanation Is Needed!”

My path is for me! No explanation needed. I’ve been going through it with my sister for a couple of years now. I had to give it God because it was too much for me to handle. I didn’t want to act out of character because I’m trying to walk the walk. I felt like as long as I was giving, she was fine. I felt taken advantage of and used. Not that I was looking for anything in return because I think we should help our family when we can. when the giving stopped, I wasn’t worth the time of day. I started saying no without giving explanation. I said “Lord it’s in your hands because I can’t deal with her”. All I can say is God is in control.

Indeed, Ms. Sherretta! I, too, am striving to learn how to walk by faith. This timeless lesson from the Hebrew boys is as relevant today as it was back then.

All praises to the Most High God!
