What’s Blocking Your View?

Having faith is like reading a great book. Both can help create inspiring pictures in your mind.  However, only faith can build a spiritual walkway that propels you beyond today’s challenges to a more promising future.  Let’s pause here for a moment.  Are you dealing with a difficult circumstance right now? If so, what’s preventing you from overcoming it? In other words, “What’s Blocking Your View?” What person and/or thing is keeping you from receiving the faith in knowing that God will deliver you?

In last week’s blog, “Resolution Resurrected,” I wrote about the importance of spending time with our Heavenly Father.  This is the only way that we can be guided along the path to our purpose in 2017.  Today’s message takes this idea a step further.

It’s impossible for us to see a ray of hope for a better tomorrow when a lack of faith is eclipsing our sight.  Expectation and doubt can not perform on the same stage.  They are rivals to one another. What’s preventing you from receiving a much-desired breakthrough?  Is it the sexual relationship you are having with that man who is not your husband?  Is it the resentment you feel towards your spouse?  Is it the anger you harbor towards your supervisor?  Is it the hurt that you’ve experienced from your child?  What’s Blocking Your View of Faith?

Whatever it is, I want to you know it can be removed!  How so, you may wonder?  First and foremost, we have to be obedient to God’s Will.  We will never live the life that He has purposed for us if we are out of order.  That’s a reality that all of us must accept and face.  Secondly, we have to take the time to study His Word. In this way, the Holy Spirit will give us the vision for our future. Lastly, we must Have a Vision of Faith, Believe, Plan and Work It! There is a reason James 2:26 KJV promises, “…Faith Without Works Is Dead.”  In other words, it will never grow or become visible evidence.

In this year, let’s be sure to remove anything or anyone that is Blocking Our View of what we truly want to accomplish.  During this journey of life, fix your mind on the beauty of what’s to come, not on what has long passed.   Then, and only then, will your view change from a Desert of Hopelessness to a lush Vineyard of Promise.

Everything in life is a process in motion. In order to continue with this process we must have a relationship with God like never before to be victorious in every battle of life.
